Dob Park and Timble Circular Walk 1 Dob Park to Timble - 6 miles - A family walk Back to Washburn Valley
Start at Dob Park (off the Otley -Blubberhouses Road) -walk down the road for 200m and turn left into a driveway of DOB Park House Farm. After 100m cross a stile in the wall on the left (which takes path around DOB Park House) and rejoin main track immediately beyond farm. Follow the green road which becomes open field. Look out for DOB Park Lodge - actually a folly built to look like a ruin. Cross the field and two stiles to reach Middle Hall Farm and then Carr Farm followed by Washburn Farm. Upon reaching Washburn Farm the path goes into a farmyard (very muddy) emerging at main entrance gate. On leaving the farm follow a direct route to Timble crossing several stiles and Timble beck climbing the small hill eventually meeting the closed track to Timble. From Timble village retrace steps but keep to left hand track (there are a choice of three) crossing fields and through the woods to rear of Swinsty Hall. Turn right to follow the reservoir track, carry straight on at the dam to follow Washburn for until DOB Park Bridge is reached. Turn right and follow part metalled roadway to top of hill 3/4 mile and start point. Alternatively, a start could be made at Swinsty car park joining the walk at Swinsty Hall.
